Impermanent loss affects liquidity pools: when the prices of the two deposited coins move apart, you can get back less than if you had simply held them.

Compare crypto staking offers

This page brings together the offers that pay you a return on your cryptocurrencies: staking programmes run by exchanges, decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols and liquidity pools. Pick a coin to see every offer available for it, then narrow the list down with the filters.

By default, offers are sorted by sustainable yield: the share of the return that comes from real revenue, such as fees paid by the users of a network or protocol, counts for more than the share paid out in newly issued tokens, and the risk level is taken into account.

How to read a yield offer

  • Annual yield: the estimated rate over one year. It is variable and can change every day.
  • Real revenue and tokens: the bar under the rate shows the share coming from real fees and the share paid in distributed tokens. The larger the first share, the more likely the yield is to last.
  • Risk level: Cautious, Moderate, High or Speculative, an estimate based on the offer’s characteristics.
  • Labels: Liquidity, Impermanent loss and Stablecoin tell you what kind of offer you are looking at.

Filters and sorting

Filter by offer type, maximum risk, stablecoins or not, and leave out offers exposed to impermanent loss. Then sort by sustainable yield, gross yield, real revenue only, total deposited or lowest risk. Every offer links straight to its page on the exchange or protocol.

Frequently asked questions about staking

Staking means locking up cryptocurrencies to help secure a network, or lending them out, in return for a reward expressed as an annual yield.

It depends on the offer. Some programmes are flexible, others require a lock-up period, which is shown on the offer. In decentralised finance, a withdrawal delay may also apply: check it on the protocol’s website.

No. Yields are variable and the value of the coin itself can fall. An 8% annual yield does not make up for a 50% drop in price. This information is not investment advice.
